This role will work a 5/2 roster from the Brisbane office with 2 days WFH option available

About the Role
As a Community Affairs Advisor, you will play a key role in strengthening relationships between Evolution Mining and the communities in which we operate. This position supports site-based teams to deliver meaningful engagement and reconciliation initiatives. You’ll contribute to the implementation of our Indigenous Relations Strategy, coordinate activities aligned with our Reconciliation Action Plan, and help manage community investment projects that create shared value.
Your work will involve:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with local communities and Indigenous organisations.
- Supporting the delivery of community engagement plans and cultural heritage obligations.
- Assisting with stakeholder negotiations to ensure positive outcomes aligned with our values of Safety, Excellence, Accountability, and Respect.
- Monitoring and reporting on social performance and community investment initiatives.
- Promoting cross-cultural awareness across the organisation.
About You
You are passionate about community engagement and creating positive outcomes for Indigenous communities.
You bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, social sciences, stakeholder engagement, or a related field.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, community consultation, and delivering engagement activities.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to work through challenging situations with resilience.
- Demonstrated experience working in cross-cultural environments and building trusted relationships with Indigenous communities.
