About the role
Reporting to the Superintendent of Supply & Contracts, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless procurement of goods and services for all EHM contracts. Reporting to the Superintendent of Supply & Contracts, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations of tenders and quotations to ensure optimal value, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Seeking legal counsel when required to maintain compliance and mitigate risks during contract negotiations.
- Ensuring high standards in contract drafting, including clearly defined scopes, terms, and conditions.
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure contracts align with operational needs.
- Lifestyle friendly 8/6 roster, FIFO from Brisbane, Cairns or Townsville, DIDO from Mt Isa with a travel allowance or live residential in Cloncurry with a local living allowance
- Eligible for a quarterly safe production bonus

About you
The ideal candidate holds a relevant tertiary qualification and proven contract management/negotiation experience. You have excellent communication/negotiation skills to engage stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical abilities allow you to evaluate complex contracts, mitigate risks, and translate technical needs into clear terms. Time management, adherence to high standards, and knowledge of contracting laws/regulations are essential.
