This is a residential role offered on an 8/6 roster dayshift only for the first 3 years and then 8/6 (days) - 7/7 (nights) for the final year.

About the role
Our four-year Apprenticeship Program gives you the hands-on training and guidance from experienced tradespeople and a Nationally Accredited Trade Certificate through a Registered Training Organisation. As part of our program, you'll receive necessary tools, TAFE accommodation and additional support if required.
8/6 Dayshift only (Years 1-3) and 8/6 (days) - 7/7 (nights) in year 4.
You will be responsible for supporting the maintenance and repair of heavy mobile equipment across Ernest Henry's underground and surface workshops. Other duties include:
- Assisting with servicing and repairing engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
- Diagnosing faults and repair mobile plant air conditioning systems
- Learning to diagnose faults in mobile mining equipment
- Supporting preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Maintaining workshop housekeeping and safety standards
- Attending TAFE and completing formal training requirements
- Committing to maintaining health, safety and security standards
- Demonstrating behaviours aligned with Evolution Mining values
About you
You are mechanically minded and passionate about working with vehicles and equipment. You have completed or are completing Year 10, and hold a current manual Driver's Licence. You are eager to learn, work safely, and contribute to a team that values excellence and respect. You can communicate clearly, follow instructions well, and enjoy solving mechanical problems. Whether through school, hobbies, or personal projects, you've shown initiative and a strong work ethic. You must be ready to take on challenges, grow your skills, and build a rewarding career in mining with Evolution.
