Business Partner People and Culture
About the role
As the Business Partner – People & Culture at Ernest Henry, you will play a critical role in partnering with leaders to support workforce planning and build an engaged and capable workforce across site.
Reporting to the Superintendent - People & Culture, you will work closely with leaders to support day-to-day matters, providing guidance on policies, processes and employee relations while driving practical outcomes. You will combine strong generalist P&C capability with a hands-on approach, supporting both operational and strategic priorities while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
- Partnering with leaders to implement P&C strategies
- Providing advice on performance management and workforce planning
- Supporting employee relations and industrial relations matters
- Contributing to reporting and workforce insights
- Supporting onboarding, employee experience and offboarding processes
- Maintaining HR systems and data accuracy
- Supporting budget and workforce planning activities
- Driving continuous improvement across P&C processes
About you
You are an experienced P&C professional with strong generalist capability and a passion for supporting leaders and improving workforce outcomes.You bring a practical, hands-on approach, enjoy building relationships and are comfortable working in an operational environment.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or similar
- Experience in a generalist HR or P&C role
- Exposure to employee relations and enterprise agreements
- Experience working in a site-based or industrial environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to influence and support leaders
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
