Clinic/Occupational Health Nurse

About the role

 

Reporting to the Senior Risk, Health & Safety, the Clinic / Occupational Health Nurse is responsible for delivering hands‑on clinical care and health services to the Ernest Henry Operations workforce. You will support onsite health operations by conducting medical assessments, managing workplace injuries, delivering emergency response care, and maintaining clinic systems, equipment and health records to ensure safe, healthy and compliant site operations.

 

 

Key responsibilities for the role include:

 

  • Facilitating pre‑employment and periodic medical assessments
  • Completing fit‑for‑work evaluations and drug & alcohol screening
  • Assessing and treating workplace injuries and providing first aid & emergency care
  • Coordinating vaccination programs and health promotion initiatives
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records and clinic health systems
  • Managing medications, consumables, and medical equipment inventory
  • Assisting with audits, reporting, and health surveillance activities
  • Overseeing clinical management of workers in emergency situations and ensuring compliance with relevant Acts & Regulations

 

 

About you

 

We are looking for people who have the following attributes, skills and experience:

 

  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration (essential)
  • Competent clinical skills in physical assessment, ECG interpretation, IV cannulation and first aid management
  • Experience delivering occupational health services within mining, remote, industrial or emergency care settings
  • Strong capability in injury management, fit-for-work decision making and triage
  • High attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate confidential records
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate, influence and support a diverse workforce
  • Ability to work independently within a site clinic environment and collaborate with Safety & Health teams
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple clinical demands in a fast-paced operational environment
