Fixed Plant Operator
About the role
As a Fixed Plant Operator at Ernest Henry, you will work as part of the underground team supporting the safe and efficient operation of fixed plant equipment and associated services.
You will play an important role in maintaining the performance of underground infrastructure, including crushers, conveyors, pumps and reticulation systems, ensuring reliability and continuity of operations.
This is a hands-on operational role, working within a tight-knit team environment where safety, accountability and teamwork are critical to success.
Key responsibilities for the role include
- Demonstrating and promoting a high level of safety commitment
- Operating fixed plant equipment safely and efficiently
- Supporting underground maintenance activities as required
- Operating crushers, conveyors, pumps and reticulation systems (air/water)
- Following maintenance schedules, procedures and permit requirements
- Maintaining accurate work records and documentation
- Working collaboratively within a team to achieve operational outcomes
About you
You are an experienced operator with exposure to underground or heavy industry environments and bring a strong safety mindset and practical approach to your work.
You take pride in your work, contribute positively to your team, and are comfortable working in a structured, operational environment where reliability and consistency are important.
You will also bring:
- Experience operating fixed plant equipment (underground preferred)
- Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
- A proactive, team-oriented approach
- Ability to follow procedures and work to plan
- Basic computer skills for reporting and systems use
- Relevant tickets / licences (advantageous)
- Ability to assess risk and perform work safely in dynamic environments

This roster is 8/6 (days) - 7/7 (nights) with a 12-hour shift.
