What’s the opportunity?
We are seeking a motivated Jumbo Offsider to support underground development activities by assisting Jumbo operations, ground support installation, and mine development works. You will play a key role in ensuring development headings are completed safely, efficiently, and to design standards.
Based at our Ernest Henry Operations and reporting to the Supervisor - Development, you’ll:
- Assist Jumbo Operators with de-rigging, re-rigging, and loading ground support materials
- Install ground support, including resin bolts, split sets, and other support systems
- Support development activities including declines, inclines, level development, and turnouts
- Conduct pre-start inspections, equipment cleaning, and basic maintenance activities
- Read and interpret development designs and survey instructions.

Does this sound like you?
You are a safety-focused underground miner who enjoys working in a hands-on team environment and is eager to expand your development mining skills. Ideally, you will also have:
- Minimum 3 years' underground mining experience
- Experience in charge-up, bogging, and mine services activities
- Current QSEC Card and C Class Driver's Licence
- Competencies in charge-up and bogger operations
- Working at Heights certification
- Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills
- A mechanical aptitude and commitment to safe, high-quality work practices.
