At Ernest Henry, you can choose what suits your priorities. Work an attractive fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) roster from Cairns or Townsville or a drive-in/drive-out (DIDO) roster and take advantage of our top-class camp, or live local in the close-knit community of Cloncurry and be home every night.
This roster is 8/6 (days) - 7/7 (nights) with a 12-hour shift.

About the role
Reporting to the Supervisor - Development, this critical operational role will see you operating Sandvik DD422 and DD422i Jumbos. You'll be responsible for drilling blast holes and executing essential ground support tasks.
- Performing acting duties in other roles when required, such as service crew, loader operator, etc.
- Installing ground support (including MDX, Resin, Split Sets, and Posimix bolts).
- Executing all aspects of development mining including level development, declines, inclines, and turnouts.
- Mining accurately to line and grade, ensuring minimal overbreak.
- Conducting thorough pre-start checks on equipment and reporting any damage.
- Upholding high safety standards through personal commitment and adherence to procedures.
About You
You will bring previous Jumbo operations experience in bolting and boring. You will have Development Jumbo and Bogger operations competencies, a current C Class Driver's License, and certifications in Working at Heights and IT operations. Your knowledge of and experience with all aspects of mine development Jumbo operations, coupled with your strong safety awareness and mechanical aptitude, will be key to your success in this role.
