Work an attractive fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) roster from Brisbane, Cairns or Townsville or a drive-in/drive-out (DIDO) roster and take advantage of our top-class camp, or live local in the close-knit community of Cloncurry and be home every night.

This roster is 8/6 (days) and a 12-hour day.

About the role

Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, you will form an integral part of the Laboratory team by safely providing high quality laboratory services that are vital to the ongoing success of the Ernest Henry Mining operation.   

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting manual sampling and moisture analysis of copper concentrate.
• Preparing samples by crushing, splitting, and pulverizing for chemical assay.
• Carrying out acid digestion and potentiometric titration for copper analysis.
• Performing particle sizing using wet and dry screening, cyclosizing, and laser methods.
• Conducting XRD analysis and assisting with the operation of the Avio 500 ICP-OES instrument.
• Executing QA/QC checks, compiling results, and delivering reports to stakeholders.
• Calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining laboratory equipment.
• Managing stock inventories, ordering supplies, and archiving samples efficiently..

About you

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a laboratory setting and strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and develop practical solutions. You should hold a Certificate IV or higher in Laboratory Techniques or a similar qualification, possess excellent attention to detail, and be able to work independently. A commitment to safety and alignment with Evolution's Values are essential, along with a manual driving licence and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
