About the role

As a Loader / Bogger Operator, reporting to the Development Supervisor – your primary responsibility will be to safely operate a fleet of Underground Loaders for sub-level cave development loading activities via ore passes, crushers and / or trucks. You will also assist with general maintenance tasks related to your equipment as well as performing acting duties of other roles (service crew, bomber / relief, underground dump truck etc) when required.

This role is offered on a lifestyle friendly 8/6 (days) – 7-7 (nights) roster, FIFO from Cairns or Townsville or DIDO from Mt Isa with a travel allowance. Those that live residential in Cloncurry will receive a local living allowance. You will also be eligible to receive a quarterly bonus, complimentary life insurance and income protection.

About you

As a successful candidate you will have:

• Proven experience operating large underground load haul dump units (LHDU) in a large scale mining operation – preferably Sandvik LH517/621 or equivalent i-series model.
• Previous experience operating the Sandvik Automine System will be highly favourable, but not essential
• A current manual driver’s licence
• The ability to support and mentor other team members
