What’s the opportunity?
As a Loader Operator, you'll be at the heart of our underground production operation, playing a critical role in keeping people, equipment and materials moving safely and efficiently.
Working as part of a close-knit underground team, you'll operate modern underground equipment, maintain key access ways and support a range of production activities that directly contribute to the success of Ernest Henry Operations.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working underground, taking ownership of their equipment and being part of a team that takes pride in delivering results safely.
In this role, you’ll:
- Operate underground loaders and associated equipment to support daily production activities
- Maintain underground roadways and declines to ensure safe and efficient access across the mine
- Transport materials and support key site services throughout the operation
- Complete pre-start inspections, identify equipment defects and contribute to equipment reliability
- Support other underground activities, including service crew, water truck and relief duties where trained and competent.

You're a safety-focused operator who enjoys working in a fast-paced underground environment and understands the importance of teamwork, communication and operational excellence.
You take pride in your equipment, work proactively to identify hazards and consistently deliver high-quality work that contributes to safe and efficient production outcomes. Ideally, you’ll also bring:
- Experience operating underground loaders and other heavy underground mining equipment
- A current Manual Driver's Licence, with a QSEC Card highly regarded
- Strong awareness of underground safety, hazard identification and risk management
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
