This roster will be 5/2 4/3 residential roster and a 9 hour day, must be residential in Cloncurry.

About the role 

The Processing Manager is responsible for leading a safe, efficient, and cost-effective processing plant operation. This role plays a key part in achieving production targets, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. The Processing Manager is also instrumental in strategic planning, continuous improvement initiatives, and team leadership, empowering individuals to contribute to operational excellence.

• Champion a culture of continuous improvement in safety, productivity, and cost efficiency while upholding Evolution Mining’s values.
• Ensure production targets are met while maintaining environmental and regulatory compliance, supporting long-term strategic planning for sustainable growth.
• Manage budgets effectively, overseeing labour, consumables, and maintenance costs while identifying opportunities for capital replacements and operational improvements.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team by providing mentorship, setting clear expectations, and fostering an inclusive and collaborative workplace.
• Promote and uphold a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with safety regulations, leading initiatives, and mitigating workplace risks and hazards.

About you

The successful candidate for the Processing Manager role will possess a unique blend of industry experience, technical expertise, and leadership skills to manage complex processing operations effectively.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes:

• A tertiary qualification in Metallurgy or Minerals Processing, providing the necessary technical foundation for managing processing operations.
• Over 10 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 5 years in senior line management roles, overseeing large-scale and complex operations.
• Extensive experience in gold and copper processing, offering a deep understanding of the processes involved and the ability to drive operational improvements.
• A strong grasp of statutory requirements, especially in safety, health, and environmental regulations, to ensure compliance and maintain a safe working environment.
• Proven leadership development experience, with the ability to mentor and guide teams, set clear expectations, and foster professional growth within the workforce.
• Experience in risk management, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate operational, safety, and environmental risks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing the candidate to effectively present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders while building relationships across functions.
• A strategic focus with a results-oriented mindset, ensuring long-term goals are met while balancing operational demands and achieving short-term deliverables.
• Highly organized and proactive, capable of prioritizing key tasks and initiatives to meet both functional and personal objectives.

This role requires a seasoned professional with the technical expertise, leadership experience, and strategic mindset needed to drive improvements in processing operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across the function. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the future of the processing operations and supporting the company's long-term objectives.
