Mechanical Technician
About the role
Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, the Mechanical Technician is responsible for delivering safe, reliable and high-quality maintenance across concentrator equipment at Ernest Henry.
This role plays a key part in ensuring plant availability by executing maintenance activities, identifying faults and supporting continuous improvement across mill maintenance operations. You will work as part of a well-established team, contributing to both planned and breakdown maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Executing preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance
- Fault finding across mechanical, hydraulic and lubrication systems
- Supporting shutdowns, rebuilds and maintenance campaigns
- Maintaining accurate records within CMMS systems
- Working closely with operations to minimise downtime
- Upholding strong safety and compliance standards
About you
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Mechanical Technician who can contribute to team performance and bring solid maintenance capability.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A mechanical trade qualification
- Experience in mining, processing or heavy industry environments
- Strong hands on fault finding and problem-solving skills
- Exposure to fixed plant or concentrator equipment (preferred)
- Experience with filter presses, slurry systems or lubrication systems (advantageous)
- Ability to work effectively across a rotating roster including nights
- Strong team mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute
