Production Driller
About the role
We are seeking an experienced UG Production Driller to operate long‑hole production drill rigs as part of Ernest Henry’s underground operations.
This role is responsible for safely and efficiently drilling production, service and cable holes to meet set production targets. You will operate Sandvik Solo and Epiroc Simba mobile, articulated drill rigs, positioning equipment underground and completing drilling activities once connected to services.
With additional production drill capacity being added to the fleet, this role offers the opportunity to join a high‑performing underground team at a long‑life operation.
This role is on an 8/7 / 7/6 roster, with 12 hour days.
About you
You’re an experienced underground operator who can step onto a production drill and operate confidently from day one.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience operating long‑hole / production drills
- Minimum 3 years’ underground mining experience
- Current competencies on Sandvik Solo and/or Epiroc Simba drills
- Strong safety focus with a solid understanding of JSEA systems
- Mechanical aptitude and strong observation skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a crew
- Current manual C‑class driver’s licence
- Supervisory experience is advantageous but not essential.
