Senior Mining Engineer (Scheduling)
Who we are
We’re a bold team with a bright future; and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.
Evolution Mining is a premier global gold company operating six mines across Australia and Canada. We’re transforming mines and uplifting careers. We’ve extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves. We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We’re transforming our Red Lake Operations, restoring it as a premier Canadian gold mine. That kind of ambition creates careers, not just jobs.
When we asked our people what they enjoy most about working at Evolution, two things came up across every site: career growth and the quality of the people. Here, you’ll work alongside people who care, who push one another to be better, with leaders who are there to support you.
What’s the opportunity?
We are seeking a Senior Mining Engineer (Scheduling) to join our Mine Technical Services team where you will take ownership of the mine scheduling process, ensuring alignment between short, medium and life-of-asset planning teams while supporting delivery of budget and production outcomes.
Working closely with Operations, Technical Services, Group and the Site Leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to influence mine performance, lead a team of engineers and drive continuous improvement across planning systems and processes.
Based at our Ernest Henry Operations and reporting to the Superintendent – Medium Term Planning, you’ll:
- Own and maintain the 3 Year Budget Schedule, ensuring alignment with the LOM vision for the asset. Key in achieving this, you’ll provide constant feedback and guidance to medium and short-term planning engineers
- Develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts and operational schedules aligned to site objectives with engagement of all necessary stakeholders
- Identify, communicate and manage schedule risks while developing practical mitigation strategies
- Partner with Operations and Technical Services teams to ensure planning outputs support execution requirements
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of Mining Engineers while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Why Ernest Henry Operations?
Ernest Henry is a cornerstone asset in our portfolio. It has high-quality equipment, high standards and great management team. With a mine life to 2040 and doubled ore reserves, there are countless opportunities for people to evolve and give their career an uplift.
