Who we are

We’re a bold team with a bright future; and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.

Evolution Mining is a premier global gold company operating six mines across Australia and Canada. We’re transforming mines and uplifting careers. We’ve extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves. We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We’re transforming our Red Lake Operations, restoring it as a premier Canadian gold mine. That kind of ambition creates careers, not just jobs.

When we asked our people what they enjoy most about working at Evolution, two things came up across every site: career growth and the quality of the people. Here, you’ll work alongside people who care, who push one another to be better, with leaders who are there to support you.

What’s the opportunity?

As our Senior Ventilation Engineer, you will play a critical leadership role in the safe and efficient operation of Ernest Henry and Bert Mines. Reporting to the Superintendent - Short Term Planning, you will be appointed as the Statutory Ventilation Officer and be responsible for the management, optimisation and compliance of underground ventilation systems across the operation.

Leading a small technical team, you'll provide specialist ventilation expertise, mentor developing engineers and work closely with operational and technical stakeholders to support safe production and continuous improvement.

In this role you’ll:

  • Fulfil the statutory responsibilities of Ventilation Officer for Ernest Henry and Bert Mines, ensuring compliance with Queensland mining legislation and site requirements
  • Monitor, analyse and optimise underground ventilation systems to support safe and efficient mining activities
  • Manage ventilation data, modelling, inspections and surveys to ensure systems remain effective and aligned with operational requirements
  • Provide ventilation advice and recommendations to operational and technical stakeholders across site.

Why Ernest Henry Operations?

Ernest Henry is a cornerstone asset in our portfolio. It has high-quality equipment, high standards and great management team. With a mine life to 2040 and doubled ore reserves, there are countless opportunities for people to evolve and give their career an uplift.
