This roster is 8/6/7/7 and a 12-hour day.

About the role

Reporting to the Supervisor - Drilling & Operations the purpose of this role is to support the mining team by providing a logistics service for transport of underground consumables, installation & maintenance of mine services, and installation & maintenance of mining infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

• Repairing and installing services and ventilation in development and production headings.
• Removing and installing secondary ventilation fans and building vent walls.
• Plating and tensioning installed cables and ensuring timely transporting of mining consumables, explosives, and equipment underground as needed.
• Performing thorough pre-start checks on all equipment, reporting damage, and maintaining high housekeeping standards.
• Operating heavy diesel equipment and performing cleaning tasks as required.
• Ensuring work quality is high, adhering to all controls, and complying with Supervisor-assigned responsibilities.
• Following safety protocols and maintaining a high standard of compliance in all tasks.
• Upholding Evolution’s values of Safety, Excellence, Accountability, and Respect while complying with all company policies and maintaining a safe, healthy work environment.

About You

The ideal candidate will hold a Queensland Explosives Security Clearance and Site Explosives Authorisation and have previous industry experience. You must be skilled in IT operations, vent installation, mine dewatering, and reticulation, and excel in underground and surface logistics, including forklift and truck operations. You will have a strong knowledge of mining logistics, services, and infrastructure, complemented by proficient use of hand tools, driving underground, and adherence to safe working procedures. It is essential that you have excellent verbal communication and situational awareness, you are well-equipped to contribute effectively to mining operations while maintaining a safety-first mindset.
