What’s the opportunity? 

We are seeking an experienced Metallurgical Superintendent to join Ernest Henry Operations in a key leadership role within our Processing team. This role will be responsible for leading the site's Metallurgy and Laboratory functions, driving plant performance, technical strategy and operational excellence across the operation.

This is an opportunity to influence copper and gold recovery outcomes, partner closely with operational leaders and contribute to the future success of a large-scale processing operation.

Based at our Ernest Henry Operations and reporting to the Concentrator Manager, you’ll:

• Lead and develop the Metallurgy and Laboratory teams to achieve safe and efficient production outcomes
• Drive plant optimisation through monitoring performance, identifying improvement opportunities and implementing technical solutions
• Deliver metallurgical accounting, forecasting and reporting to support business performance
• Partner with Processing and Maintenance teams to maximise plant reliability, recovery and throughput
• Contribute to budgeting, cost control, strategic planning and metallurgical improvement projects across site.

Does this sound like you?  

You are a collaborative and results-driven leader with a strong technical background in metalliferous processing. You enjoy developing people, building strong cross-functional relationships and driving initiatives that improve plant performance and operational outcomes.  Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 8 years' experience in metalliferous processing, including leadership experience within an operational environment
• Strong technical knowledge of processing plant operations, including grinding, flotation and dewatering circuits
• Experience leading teams, managing budgets and delivering business improvement initiatives
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
• A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for developing people and driving operational excellence.
