About the role

Reporting to the P&C Manager, the Superintendent People & Culture leads the site-based P&C team, enabling business partners to deliver consistent, high-impact support across the employee lifecycle. This is a true generalist role with exposure to workforce planning, employee relations, leadership development, and site-wide initiatives.

 

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Leading and coaching P&C Business Partners to support operational leaders
  • Driving site-wide initiatives including performance reviews, succession planning, and salary reviews
  • Supporting recruitment, workforce planning, and talent management in partnership with Group P&C
  • Providing guidance on employee relations, disciplinary processes, and grievance resolution
  • Championing leadership capability and inclusive culture across the site
  • Supporting enterprise bargaining and industrial relations matters
  • Overseeing compliance, reporting, and payroll coordination
  • Leading by example in safety, health, and environmental standards
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and strategic P&C projects 

 

 

About you

 

You will hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Law, Business or a related discipline, and have Senior Generalist HR experience in operational environments such as mining, manufacturing or construction. You are a confident communicator, a trusted advisor, and a capable leader who thrives in dynamic settings. Experience with enterprise bargaining, workforce planning, and HRIS systems (e.g. SuccessFactors) is highly regarded.

This is a residential role based in Cloncurry, a close-knit community with strong local ties. Candidates must be willing to relocate.
