Supervisor - LV & Ancillary Mtce

About the role 

 

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Supervisor - Mobile Maintenance plays a critical role in leading the mobile maintenance team to safely deliver high-quality repairs and maintenance across heavy mobile and ancillary equipment. This role ensures safe, efficient, and effective execution of maintenance activities to meet production and reliability targets. 

 

 Key responsibilities include: 

 

  • Leading the mobile maintenance crew to safely execute daily and scheduled maintenance activities across surface and underground equipment 

  • Planning and coordinating complex repairs, rebuilds and shutdown work in collaboration with planners and engineers 

  • Overseeing fault finding, diagnostics and component change outs to maintain optimal fleet performance 

  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with site and statutory requirements 

  • Managing maintenance documentation, including CMMS updates, standard work instructions, and risk assessments 

  • Coaching, mentoring and developing tradespeople and apprentices, promoting a culture of safety, accountability and teamwork 

 

 

About you 

  

We are looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic with strong technical expertise and a proven ability to lead maintenance teams in a mining or heavy industrial environment. 

 

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: 

 

  • Qualified Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic with extensive maintenance experience.  

  • Strong knowledge of mobile plant systems, including hydraulics, engines and drivetrains.  

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams to deliver safe and efficient maintenance outcomes.  

  • Relevant trade qualification (mandatory)  

  • Completed, or willing to complete, S1, S2 and S3 supervisory training.  

  • Competent in using maintenance management systems (CMMS).  

  • Strong planning, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.  

  • Leads by example and supports team performance and development.  

  • Committed to safety, equipment reliability and continuous improvement.
