About the role
As the Supervisor – Concentrator Mechanical Maintenance, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing the mechanical maintenance processing equipment to ensure optimal availability and reliability. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of mechanical technicians across preventative maintenance, breakdown response, and scheduled shutdowns
- Planning and executing complex repairs and rebuilds of critical assets (e.g. mills, gearboxes, pumps, and hydraulic systems)
- Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and procedures
- Conducting formal risk assessments and change management processes
- Working closely with planners and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality maintenance outcomes
- Creating and maintaining quality Standard Work Instructions (SWIs)
About you
You're a qualified tradesperson with a strong background in heavy industry or mining maintenance. With proven leadership experience, you're skilled in planning, fault-finding, and supervising shutdown activities. Your technical capabilities and attention to detail are matched by your ability to guide and support your team. You will also bring:
- A relevant Trade Certificate and post-trade training
- Advanced mechanical fault-finding skills, particularly in hydraulics and lubrication systems
- Experience in supervising complex installations and rebuilds
- Proficiency with ERP/CMMS systems and reading technical drawings
- A strong safety mindset and ability to lead by example
