About the role
Reporting to the Superintendent – UG Electrical Fixed Plant, the Supervisor – Underground Fixed Electrical Maintenance leads the underground electrical maintenance crew to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of maintenance activities. This role is key to delivering asset reliability and performance across Ernest Henry’s underground operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring tradespersons, apprentices, and contractors
- Managing daily maintenance and breakdowns of underground fixed plant and infrastructure
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and site standards
- Supporting shutdown planning and CMMS data accuracy
- Driving technical improvements to enhance asset reliability
- Promoting a strong safety culture and conducting assurance interactions
- Maintaining accurate documentation and electrical records
About you
The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician with supervisory experience in underground mining or heavy industry. You will bring strong technical knowledge of underground electrical systems including fixed plants, HV reticulation, and infrastructure. You should be confident leading diverse crews, solving problems, and driving safe, reliable results. Your leadership style promotes accountability, safety, and continuous improvement, and you will be experienced in compliance and risk management. HV switching and statutory knowledge are highly regarded.
