About the role

Reporting to the Processing Manager, the TSF Superintendent is responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant operation of the Tailings Storage Facility (TSF), TSF capital projects, surface operations and site-wide water management.

Key responsibilities:

• Implementing and managing a risk-based tailings and water management strategy
• Leading surveillance, inspections, TSF monitoring, reporting and governance
• Overseeing tailings deposition, embankment construction, QA/QC and contractor performance
• Managing budgets, consumables and operational readiness
• Providing technical direction to engineers, supervisors and surface operations teams
• Ensuring compliance with legislation, design criteria and regulatory frameworks
• Collaborating with the Engineer of Record and internal stakeholders on medium and long-term TSF planning

About you

You will bring extensive experience in tailings, water management, and/or civil/geotechnical disciplines within a mining or large industrial environment. A relevant civil/tertiary qualification will be highly regarded, but we are equally interested in your demonstrated capability and track record of delivering safe, compliant outcomes.

You will be a confident leader with strong contractor management skills, able to set clear expectations, drive performance, and build effective working relationships. You will manage both operational and capital spend, with a practical, disciplined approach to budgeting, cost control, and value delivery. Your strengths in risk management, surveillance and monitoring programs, reporting accuracy, and the execution of construction or operational plans will be key to protecting TSF integrity and supporting consistent site performance.
