At Ernest Henry, you can choose what suits your priorities. Work an attractive fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) roster from Brisbane, Townsville and Cairns or a drive-in/drive-out (DIDO) roster and take advantage of our top-class camp, or live local in the close-knit community of Cloncurry and be home every night.

This roster is 8/6 and a 12-hour day.

About the role

As a Training Advisor, you’ll make sure everyone at Ernest Henry has the skills and authorisations they need to work safely and meet our legal obligations. You’ll coordinate and deliver induction, refresher and on-the-job training, and keep our training records accurate and audit-ready.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering clear, practical induction and refresher training for employees and contractors.
• Running theory training and working with Crew Trainers to plan and complete practical, RPL and pass-out assessments.
• Delivering nationally recognised courses as a co-provider to an RTO
• Planning and scheduling training with departments and maintenance teams, including weekly meetings with Crew Trainer Assessors to set priorities and confirm plans.
• Keeping INX and other training systems up to date, including work groups, roles, matrices and shared inboxes.
• Auditing training files, documents and Crew Trainer Assessors so our records stay compliant and easy to verify.
• Supporting Training Needs Analyses, developing training materials and improving training processes and tools.
• Run compliance reports to ensure competencies and compliance are current
• Providing accurate training information to support investigations when required, and role-modelling Evolution’s values of Safety, Excellence, Accountability and Respect.

About You

You are an organised, people-focused training professional who enjoys working with both systems and people to get results. You can balance day-to-day training demands with longer-term planning, and you’re comfortable engaging with supervisors, crew trainers and contractors across site.

You’ll bring:

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a manual driver’s licence.
• Strong INX and Microsoft Office skills, with a solid understanding of training management systems.
• Proven ability to plan, coordinate, prioritise and complete training in a timely manner and respond to unplanned events
• Clear, confident communication and stakeholder skills that build trust with leaders, Crew Trainers and contractors.
• High attention to detail in training records, reporting and documentation.
• You communicate in a clear, practical way that makes it easy for people to understand what’s required and why it matters.
