About the role

 

In the vacation student environment role, gain hands-on experience supporting environmental management and sustainability activities across the mine site. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll contribute to projects that help minimise environmental impacts and support responsible mining practices.

 

Some of your work may include:

 

  • Assist with environmental monitoring and data collection programs.
  • Support environmental compliance and reporting activities.
  • Contribute to rehabilitation and land management projects.
  • Assist with environmental inspections and audits.
  • Analyse environmental data and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Work with operational teams to support sustainable mining practices.

Ernest Henry is a cornerstone asset in our portfolio. It has high-quality equipment, high standards and great management team. Live local in the close-knit community of Cloncurry.

Roster: 5:2/4:3
Included: Residential housing, site transport, flights at the start and end of the program, plus return travel over the festive period.

 

About you

 

We're looking for motivated students who are curious, hands-on and keen to grow their technical skills.

 

You’ll be:

 

  • Studying environmental science, environmental management or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated interest in environmental sustainability and compliance.
  • A strong problem-solver with analytical thinking skills.
  • A confident communicator and team player.
  • Willing to live and work in a regional mining environment.
  • Hold a valid manual driver's licence.
