Advisor - Training

About the Role

As workplace Training Advisor at our Cowal Gold Operation, you will support safe, competent and productive work by delivering high quality training and maintaining site wide competency systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve site training and competency verification systems to meet legislative and Evolution standards. 
  • Deliver training for nationally recognised programs where agreements exist, ensuring compliance with all terms. 
  • Support the development, configuration and maintenance of INX and other training related systems and tools.
  • Provide accurate, timely training advice to supervisors, managers and operational stakeholders. 
  • Maintain up to date and compliant training and competency records for all site personnel.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of site health and safety systems and programs.
  • Contribute to the annual training budget and ensure costs remain within expectations.
  • Role model Evolution’s values and support safe behaviours across site

 

About You

You’re an experienced trainer with a passion for developing capability and improving safety outcomes across operational teams. You enjoy variety, stakeholder engagement and working in a collaborative, growing team environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) – essential. 
  • Experience in Open Pit mining Training Teams highly desirable.
  • Heavy industry or other high risk operational environments, ideally with exposure to H&S systems also considered.
  • Experience in writing and reviewing training materials, assessments and H&S documentation.
  • Working knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, NSW Mining Health & Safety legislation.
  • Experience delivering high risk work licence training and/or H&S systems training.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence across departments. 
  • Competency with MS Office, INX, and other training or risk‑management software.
  • Organised, self‑directed and able to manage priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Positive contributor to a small, supportive team with a growth mindset.
