Electrical Engineer

About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering electrical engineering expertise across both Greenfield and Brownfield projects. This position offers exposure to diverse projects, including open pit and some underground work, while supporting operational reliability and continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and reviewing electrical systems for capital works and operational projects.
  • Developing and managing project documentation, estimates, schedules, contracts, and RFIs across all phases of capital works while coordinating closely with Operations and other disciplines.
  • Managing contractors and ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and site safety requirements.
  • Providing technical support to maintenance teams for troubleshooting and reliability improvements.
  • Driving project execution from concept through commissioning, ensuring safe and cost effective outcomes.

About You

You are a degree qualified Electrical Engineer with 3–5 years of experience with heavy industry exprience, ideally within mining or large scale industrial projects. You bring strong technical knowledge in electrical design, power distribution, and protection systems, along with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience managing projects and contractors from concept to commissioning.
  • Familiarity with mining electrical infrastructure such as substations, MCCs, VSDs, and instrumentation.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
