This roster is 7/7 day / night shift and a12 hour shift.
About the role
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor your role entails ensuring the efficient and safe operations of site wide electrical requirements.
Your responsibilities although not limited to include the following:
- Perform Electrical maintenance across the operation including process plant, water supply systems, tailings dams, and any other mining related areas
- Maintain/Calibration of instrumentation equipment. i.e flow meters, vega density gauges, Vega Level sensors and Pressure/Temperature Transmitters
- Update system and ensure job history notes are entered onto work orders using Pronto
- Assist team in fault and failure diagnosis as required
- Actively participate in condition monitoring programs
- Ensure due care is taken when using site provided tooling to ensure it remains in serviceable condition and report any broken or damaged site provided tooling
- Forward planning and communication with your electrical supervisor to ensure all appropriate tooling and equipment is available to efficiently execute your work
- Ensure all work performed is allocated a work order number though via your supervisor
- Follow stores procedures for any required spare parts ensuring they are only removed from the store with the appropriate requisitions.
- Communicating with the electrical supervisor on all incomplete work to ensure efficient hand over and completion
- Attend and work as a team leader during shutdown periods as required
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with statutory, regulatory and to Evolution mining standards and specifications
- Performance test equipment before signing off to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Actively promote continuous improvement to improve safety, improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs
About you
Working at a dynamic mine site with the latest technology in place you will require the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Electrical trade qualifications, preferably with a demonstrated track record in mining related electrical work
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in heavy industry maintenance & installation (preferably gold mining)
- Certificate III or IV in instrumentation
- PLC exposure and understanding (highly regarded) i.e siemens
- NSW Electrical license
- High Risk Work License-EWP/Forklift and Confined Space ticket
- Australian Driving license
- Experience with Pumping Systems & Power Generation
- Experience with variable speed drives and Yokogawa/Alan Bradley control systems (preferred, not mandatory)
- Paste Plant Maintenance (desirable)
- High voltage switching & permitting systems
- Instrumentation competencies and training
- Inspection/maintenance of Hazardous area equipment
- The ability complete assigned work in a timely manner as assigned on the task duration
- Competent user of Pronto, MS Word and Excel
- Proficient with data management and software
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills at all levels
- Ability to read, interpret and understand plans, diagrams, drawings and specifications
