This roster will be 7/7-day shift and 12 hour days.

About the role

The Electrical Supervisor, reporting to the Superintendent – Processing Maintenance, is responsible for providing mechanical maintenance and engineering services to optimize equipment availability, ensuring production requirements are met in compliance with relevant statutory mechanical responsibilities at Cowal.

This role requires leadership in managing maintenance workflows to enhance equipment availability. The supervisor will guide the development of tradespersons, promote a "best practice" environment, and encourage team-building initiatives. Responsibilities also include supervising daily maintenance tasks, addressing variances, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring effective management of work orders with accurate historical data.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the Superintendent – Processing Maintenance to meet KPI targets and ensure optimal equipment availability.
  • Supporting the development and management of both short- and long-term maintenance plans.
  • Assisting with budget preparation and management, as directed by senior leadership.
  • Providing timely and accurate reports while identifying cost-saving opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Evolution Mining’s values in all activities.

 

About you

To be successful in the Electrical Supervisor role, the following qualifications, experience, and competencies are required:

  • Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum 6 years of post-trade experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a lead hand or coordinator role
  • Ability to promote and maintain a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
  • Effective supervision of teams and individuals in an engaging, constructive manner
  • High-level understanding of supervisory practices and principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills, utilizing a logical and analytical approach
  • Ability to manage stressful situations effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organisation
  • Flexibility and a collaborative attitude in a team environment
  • Innovation and initiative to drive improvements.
  • Leadership capabilities, including embracing change and managing results.

These qualifications and competencies will enable the successful candidate to effectively lead teams, optimize maintenance workflows, and ensure equipment availability in alignment with production goals.
