This roster is 7/7 Roster Day and Night shifts.  

About the role

Reporting to the shift supervisor the Mine Services Operator is responsible for the dewatering of the open pit to ensure production targets are achieved as well as to carry out assigned duties to ensure project targets are met.

You will undertake the duties required for the position in a diligent and competent manner which include the following:

• Assist mine operations supervisors in managing activities performed by ground support personnel and contractors, including rope access scaling, wall meshing, and horizontal hole drilling.
• Support the supervision and execution of mining projects as directed by mine operations supervisors
• Oversee mine dewatering operations to ensure production targets are met effectively
• Conduct regular workplace inspections to verify compliance with site procedures, standards, and hazard management systems
• Service and maintain mobile pumps as necessary to ensure operational efficiency
• Operate earthmoving plant and equipment as required to facilitate mining activities
• Facilitate site inductions for visitors and contractors, manage site access permits for contractor equipment, and oversee removal authorizations and parking permits
• Uphold health, safety, and security standards, actively identifying and mitigating potential risks throughout Evolution.

About you

Working in an inclusive and supportive stable team you will require the following skills, experience and qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of open pit dewatering experience, with familiarity to open cut mining/quarry operations
• Current Australian driver’s License
• C2 Crane Ticket, Dogman Ticket, Poly Welding Ticket and Chainsaw competency desirable

• Prioritise and schedule work to ensure deadlines and targets are met and exceeded
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills at all levels
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
