This roster is and a 7/7 roster day shift with 12 hour days.

About the role
The role of Processing Plant Operator is to operate areas safely and effectively within the Processing Plant, including Reagent Handling and Mixing, Tailings Storage Facilities, Water Treatment Plants, and the Goldroom, it is crucial to maintain a focus on operational efficiency, safety, and adherence to procedural standards. Ensuring that a continuous and smooth production process is upheld, while also addressing the environmental and safety responsibilities, is key to the plant's overall success. Effective communication, adherence to operational schedules, and maintenance of equipment are essential for maintaining high performance. Additionally, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety awareness ensures that the plant operates within regulatory guidelines while also striving for operational excellence.
Key Result Areas:
- Ensure smooth and continual production processes are maintained at all times.
- Maintain reagent levels in alignment with the operational demands of the plant.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards across all areas.
- Adhere to pre-determined tailings deposition plans, reporting deviations where necessary.
- Follow and support water management plans, ensuring adequate water availability.
- Operate and maintain the RO plant to meet the processing plant's water requirements.
- Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and stakeholders, providing feedback when needed.
- Ensure compliance with shift schedules, safety procedures, and working hours.
- Commit to maintaining safety, health, and security standards in all tasks and activities.
- Work within and comply with site-specific safety and health management systems.
- Understand and comply with environmental approvals and relevant legislation.
- Support and adhere to the CGO environmental management system.
About you
Previous experience in gold processing plants is highly advantageous, as it provides a strong foundation for understanding the complexities of plant operations. Having the ability to make quality decisions, maintain high work standards, collaborate effectively with others, apply expertise and technology, and plan and organize tasks is essential in this role. These competencies ensure efficient plant operations while prioritizing safety and adhering to operational guidelines. Professionals with the right skills, such as the ability to work safely, utilize MS Word and Excel, operate DCS systems, and work independently, are crucial for driving both individual and team success in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
