Procurement & Contracts Specialist

Who we are

We’re a bold team with a bright future; and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.

Evolution Mining is a premier global gold company operating six mines across Australia and Canada. We’re transforming mines and uplifting careers. We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We’ve extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves. We’re transforming our Red Lake Operations, restoring it as a premier Canadian gold mine. That kind of ambition creates careers, not just jobs.

When we asked our people what they enjoy most about working at Evolution, two things came up across every site: career growth and the quality of the people. Here, you’ll work alongside people who care, who push one another to be better, with leaders who are there to support you.

What’s the opportunity?

This is an opportunity to influence commercial outcomes across one of Australia's leading gold operations while building valuable relationships with stakeholders right across the business.

As a Procurement & Contracts Specialist, you'll play a key role in delivering strategic sourcing initiatives, managing complex procurement activities and driving value through effective contract and supplier management. Your work will directly support operational success while giving you exposure to a wide range of commercial and business functions.

Working a family friendly 5:2/4:3 roster (flexible rosters will be considered), you'll enjoy the benefits of a regional lifestyle without compromising on career growth. You'll be joining a collaborative commercial team where you'll have the opportunity to influence decisions, work closely with operational leaders and develop your expertise across multiple spend categories and contract portfolios.

Based at our Cowal Operations and reporting to the Supply Superintendent, you'll:

  • Lead strategic sourcing activities that deliver value across the operation
  • Influence major commercial decisions through tendering and evaluation processes
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across site and corporate teams
  • Negotiate contracts that support operational performance and long-term success
  • Drive sourcing strategies that deliver supplier performance and commercial outcomes
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within Supply and Commercial

Why Cowal Gold Operations?

At Cowal, our never-say-never attitude has led to mine life extension to 2042 as we have boldly reimagined our future. We took our operations there underground in just seven years. Today, you can work on the surface or underground. With open pit and processing all on one site, the operational diversity is ideal for uplifting careers. Live nearby and enjoy the regional lifestyle and close-knit communities. The future here is bright; you could be part of it.
