Reliability Engineer - Fixed Plant
Who we are
We’re a bold team with a bright future; and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.
Evolution Mining is a premier global gold company operating six mines across Australia and Canada. We’re transforming mines and uplifting careers. We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We’ve extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves. We’re transforming our Red Lake Operations, restoring it as a premier Canadian gold mine. That kind of ambition creates careers, not just jobs.
When we asked our people what they enjoy most about working at Evolution, two things came up across every site: career growth and the quality of the people. Here, you’ll work alongside people who care, who push one another to be better, with leaders who are there to support you.
What’s the opportunity?
Shape the reliability, performance and future capability of a world class gold processing operation. As a Reliability Engineer, you'll be responsible for improving the reliability and performance of critical processing assets including crushing, grinding, flotation, leaching and tailings systems.
Working a 5:2/4:3 residential roster, you'll enjoy the balance of a rewarding career and regional lifestyle while influencing the performance of critical processing assets that underpin Cowal's success. This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact through reliability improvements, asset optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives, while collaborating across teams to solve complex challenges and deliver lasting operational value.
Reporting to the Superintendent - Reliability, you'll:
- Improve equipment reliability and availability through preventive maintenance optimisation, defect elimination, condition monitoring and reliability centred maintenance (RCM) principles.
- Analyse failure trends, equipment performance and maintenance data to identify reliability improvement opportunities and influence long-term asset strategies.
- Support maintenance and operational teams with technical engineering expertise that drives safer and more efficient outcomes.
- Contribute to engineering projects from concept through to technical evaluation and implementation.
- Build capability across the maintenance team through coaching, technical support and knowledge sharing.
If you're motivated by solving complex problems, delivering measurable improvements, and working collaboratively to achieve common goals, this role provides the opportunity to make a real difference.
Why Cowal Gold Operations?

Today, you can work on the surface or underground. With open pit and processing all on one site, the operational diversity is ideal for uplifting careers. Live nearby and enjoy the regional lifestyle and close-knit communities. The future here is bright; you could be part of it.
