This roster is 5:2/4:3, 10 hour day shifts. 12 months Secondment opportunity.

About the Role

As a Senior Mine Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial and commercial reporting to support operational decision making. This secondment opportunity covers maternity leave and offers exposure to both open pit and underground operations at our cornerstone asset, currently undergoing significant expansion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing month end processes and preparing accounts in line with Group timetables.
• Facilitating cost review meetings with departmental managers to drive accountability and performance.
• Overseeing capital tracking and supporting CapEx planning.
• Providing analysis and reporting to assist with budgeting, forecasting, and statutory compliance.
• Collaborating across departments to ensure financial insights translate into operational improvements.

About You

You are a proactive and analytical finance professional with a strong commercial mindset and the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.

Ideally, you bring:

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance (CA/CPA/CIMA highly desirable, but not obligatory).
• At least 3 years’ experience in a commercial accounting or finance role, with mining or resource sector exposure a strong preference.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (Pronto experience advantageous).
• Strong problem solving ability, attention to detail, and capability to interpret operational performance in financial terms.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence to lead commercial discussions.
• Adaptability to manage change and thrive in a dynamic environment.
