This roster is 8:6 roster, 12-hour day shifts.

About the Role

As a Senior Underground Surveyor at Cowal, you’ll take a leading role in delivering accurate and timely survey services for our underground operations. You’ll supervise and mentor the survey team, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and collaborate with Technical Services, Geology, and Mining teams to support safe and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and develop the underground survey team, providing leadership and technical guidance.
• Perform and oversee daily survey activities including mark-ups, cavity monitoring, EOM surveys, and production drill layouts.
• Maintain survey control databases and ensure integrity of mine plans and spatial data.
• Liaise with multiple stakeholders to coordinate short-term and long-term survey requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in survey processes, systems, and safe work practices.
• Demonstrate behaviours aligned with Evolution Mining’s values: Safety, Excellence, Accountability, Respect.

About You

You’re an experienced underground surveyor who thrives in a leadership role and values precision, safety, and collaboration. You bring strong technical capability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

What We’re Looking For:

• Formal qualification in Surveying or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in underground hard rock mining environments.
• Proficiency with modern survey instrumentation and software (Deswik CAD and MDM desirable).
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
