This roster will be 5/2 4/3 and a 10-hour day.

About the role

The Reliability Specialist provides technical support to the Maintenance Department through analysis of data, failure analysis and root cause investigation.

The results of this analysis will be used to identify, quantify, and implement projects or facilitate activities to improve the reliability and availability of equipment whilst maintaining Cowal Gold Operation's Maintenance Department’s alignment with Company, Environmental and Social
objectives.

Your duties and responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical support for maintenance personnel.
  • Manage and provide timely action/recommendations from condition monitoring data.
  • Analysis of key data to identify opportunities for business de bottlenecking, cost
    reduction and reliability projects.
  • Champion work groups and provide coaching support for defect elimination techniques.
  • Development of asset management plans for critical equipment.
  • Develop and review asset maintenance strategy plans.
  • Critical spares analysis.
  • Manage projects as required.
  • Assist with the preparation of maintenance budgets and cost control measures.
  • Provide support to company maintenance/reliability initiatives.
  • Work closely with production personnel where needed to resolve equipment reliability
    issues.
  • Liaise with OEM’s, in a responsive and professional manner to ensure identified product
    / parts / component problems or maintenance issues are resolved.
  • In conjunction with the Maintenance Manager and Superintendent establish appropriate
    and effective KPI’s that enable equipment performance to be measured.
  • In liaison with Supervisors and Maintenance Superintendent ensure the Plant Availability
    and Reliability is being delivered at desired KPI levels.
  • Assist the team to identify and implement improvements for the Maintenance Area
  • Ensure records, registers and drawings are kept up to date

 

About you

You will require experience in Fixed Plant mining equipment and the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Bach of Mechanical Engineering or Trade qualification in an associated field
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards and relevant Mining Codes, Acts and Regulations
  • High level of computer literacy, advanced MS Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Organisational skills and the ability plan time and prioritise effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A high-level understanding of Maintenance within the area of responsibility
  • High-level understanding of Asset Management & Strategies
  • High-level understanding of Continuous Improvement concepts
  • Good understanding of Budgeting & Financial analysis
