About the role
Reporting to the Superintendent- Maintenance, this position is responsible for the maintenance and control of tooling in the maintenance department.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Inspection of work area and plant for hazards, damage, and defects.
- Be responsible for management of workshop tooling.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping in tool store and wash bay.
- Inspections and updating of all high-risk tooling.
- Maintenance of rigging equipment
- Management of workshop consumables
- Coordinating delivery of roadable spares with Stores
- Loading and unloading containers / trucks (forklift work) and parts to / from workshop and storage yard / warehouse.
- Housekeeping and any other duties that may arise on a day-to-day basis.

About you
The ideal applicant for the job will have relevant industrial experience, be skilled in rigging, dogging, and/or crane operations, and have a forklift ticket. You should also ideally hold an HRW licence for at least one discipline. You should have previous mining experience where you were able to work independently as well as in a team. Physical aptitude, basic computer skills, and commitment to safety and work standards are all essential. In addition to keeping an impeccable attendance and safety record, you must possess good interpersonal skills, effective communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities. You should possess an aptitude for prioritising work, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to always working in a safe manner.
