Our Cowal Operation is a growing cornerstone operation located 350km west of Sydney and we want you to contribute to the growth journey.

About the role

The Superintendent, Community & Indigenous Relations is a newly created position reporting to the Manager, People, Culture & Community.

The position is responsible for maintaining and improving the reputation of the Cowal Gold Operations and continuing to maintain a strong Social Licence to Operate.

  • Develop and deliver the CGO Social Responsibility Plan
  • Undertake community engagement and consultation activities
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key Community stakeholders
  • Location: Cowal, NSW.

About you

To deliver success in this position you will have 5 – 7 years relevant Indigenous Relations, Environmental, Social Responsibility and Community Relations experience.

An ideal candidate may cover or can demonstrate the following:

  • A degree qualification in Environmental Science, Indigenous Studies, Social Sciences or other relevant degree qualification/s.
  • Post graduate studies in Indigenous Relations highly desirable if this is not the primary degree qualification.
  • Strong written communication skills including experience in compliance reporting, and community liaison.
  • High level oral communication skills including skills in facilitating, presenting, and negotiating to a variety of audiences.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills at all levels
  • Mediation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
