This roster is 5:2 / 4:3 and 10 hour day shifts.

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands on Risk & Improvement Superintendent to play a key role in strengthening operational and business risk capability across Cowal Gold Operations. Working onsite and partnering closely with our Sustainability Manager, you’ll help lift the maturity of Cowal’s risk systems and ensure risks are clearly understood, well controlled and actively managed across the operation.

In this role, you will:

• Own and uplift the Operations Risk Register and critical control performance activities.
• Lead the Management of Change process, ensuring changes are assessed, communicated and implemented effectively.
• Support and guide incident investigations (including ICAMs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain Cowal’s Enterprise Risk Management System and Legal Compliance Register, ensuring alignment with Evolution standards and legislation
• Work closely with operational leaders, helping them embed risk processes in day to day activities and build confidence in business risk decision‑making.

About You

You’re an experienced risk professional who’s confident, practical and thrives in a fast paced mining environment. You know how to influence leaders, cut through complexity and help operational teams make better, safer decisions.

You’ll bring:

• 5+ years’ experience in risk, compliance or senior HSE roles, ideally within mining or heavy industry.
• Strong exposure to operational mining environments (or Oil & Gas, Heavy Industry) and a solid grasp of operational risk principles.
• Proven capability in ICAM investigations and lead auditing.
• Experience in change management and business improvement tools.
• Sharp strategic thinking and strong problem‑solving skills.
