About the role 

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor the purpose of this position is to ensure the efficient and safe operations of site wide electrical requirements.


Key Responsibilities will include:


  • Performing electrical maintenance across various mining-related areas, adhering to shift schedules and completing tasks as directed.
  • Maintaining/fault finding and installation of instrumentation equipment, carrying out calibrations as required.
  • Maintaining accurate job history notes and ensuring effective communication of work status and any incomplete tasks.
  • Participating in condition monitoring, fault diagnosis, and ensuring all work has proper work order numbers and requisitions for spare parts.
  • Using-provided tools carefully, reporting any damage, and ensuring necessary tooling and equipment are available.
  • Complying with statutory and regulatory standards, conducting performance tests on equipment, and assisting with other trades when competent.
  • Promoting safety, operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and complying with environmental protocols.

About you


The ideal candidate will hold the relevant trade qualifications. Current NSW Electrical License, Cert 3 or 4 in Instrumentation with the ability to maintain and install new equipment. Applicant must also hold a current Driver’s License.  Additionally, any of the following would be desirable- Safe Use of Fixed Nuclear Gauges, High Risk Work License EWP/Forklift, confined space certification, EEHA certificate, High Voltage Switching. Applicants with industrial or mining experience would be highly regarded. The role also requires strong adherence to safety standards, policies, and procedures, along with the ability to follow instructions, contribute to team success, and effectively manage pressure and setbacks.
