This roster is 7/7 Day/Night roster and a 12-hour day.

About the role

Reporting to the Mill Foreman your new role will require you to perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and installations within the Mill and associated infrastructure as well as attending to the following duties:

• Assist the team in fault and failure diagnosis as required incl. logging failure codes for all breakdown work orders in Pronto
• Actively participate in condition monitoring programs
• Ensure due care is taken when using site provided tooling to ensure it remains in serviceable condition
• Report any broken or damaged site provided tooling
• Provide clear and correct job history notes and time confirmations onto work orders in Pronto
• Carry out all tasks as directed by the Mill/Maintenance Foreman or the designated Acting Leading Hand
• Communicate with the Foreman or Leading Hand to ensure all appropriate tooling and equipment is available to efficiently execute your work
• Ensure all work performed is allocated a work order number through your Foremen or Leading Hand
• Follow spare part requisition procedures when acquiring from stores
• Communicate on any incomplete work to the next shift Supervisor or Leading Hand to ensure efficient completion
• Act as a Team leader during shutdown periods as required
• Assist with other trade and Mill operational duties that you have been deemed competent in as required

About you

• Trade certificate qualifications in Mechanical - Fitter
• A minimum of 3 plus years’ experience in a similar fixed plant maintenance fitter position
• Demonstrated experience maintaining mining fixed plant equipment
• Broad equipment experience on various plant and adaptability to change
• The ability to complete assigned work in a timely manner as assigned on the task duration
• Efficient fault-finding abilities to ensure high quality maintenance
• Provide clear communication lines within team and with other sections/departments both written and verbal
• Franna, EWP, Confined Space, Forklift tickets desirable
• Competent MS Office skills and Pronto experience desirable
