Our Mungari Gold Operations are a cornerstone asset located 28km west from central Kalgoorlie, Western Australia (WA) and 600km east of Perth. Mungari has a predominantly residential workforce, with many living in Kalgoorlie Boulder, giving employees the luxury of coming home every day.
Last year we announced our expansion project, a $250m investment to expand our processing mill. This investment will extend Mungari’s mine life to 15 years and double annual production to over 200,000 ounces per year post commissioning. It is an exciting time to join the Mungari Operations!
About the role
With exciting growth happening across our operations, we are now looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our Sustainability team, primarily supporting the three underground mines at our Mungari Gold Operations.
- 8:6 12-hour day shift only roster, Thursday to Thursday
- Residential or FIFO ex-Perth + relocation to Kalgoorlie on offer

Our Health and Safety Advisors strive for safety and health best practice at our Mungari Operations by coaching and guiding people in the application of risk management, safety and health processes along with how to use the supporting systems and tools. Our Advisors ensure our systems are in place, are understood by all stakeholders, are effective and maintained.
This opportunity will allow you to further develop your technical skills, learning and engaging with stakeholders across our mining operations and the broader Sustainability team.
About you
As a passionate health and safety professional, you demonstrate a ‘safety first’ mindset, strive for excellence, take accountability for your work and understand what’s needed to progress safety maturity, psychosocial safety and employee wellbeing in the mining industry.
Naturally, you are an effective communicator (verbal and written), able to quickly establish rapport with stakeholders at all levels. Working in a collaborative team you will be open to feedback, respect other’s opinions and challenge constructively to build trust and create an inclusive environment where everyone can do their best work.
You will have:
- Qualifications in health and safety (or a relevant related discipline)
- Underground mining operational experience
- Competent in writing and reviewing management plans, procedures, work method statements and other related system documentation
- Experience with facilitating risk assessments (WRAC, JSA, HazID)
- Experience with ICAM investigations (completion of ICAM training highly regarded)
- Experience using INX and Pronto systems (highly regarded).
