The roster is an 8:6 (10 hour day shifts).

About the Role

Reporting to the Mining and Ore Haulage Contracts Superintendent – Castle Hill, this role is responsible for providing dewatering and general maintenance services across the Castle Hill open pit and associated satellite operations. It is a hands on position that ensures dewatering systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently, supporting production and site operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Installing, moving, and maintaining poly pipelines, diesel pumping systems, and associated equipment.
• Conducting daily pipeline inspections and accurately recording and reporting observations.
• General site upkeep, including signage, haul road delineation, and assisting with site establishment tasks.
• Providing accurate dewatering knowledge and practical application to minimise downtime.
• Supporting a small, close-knit site team with a focus on safe work practices and continuous improvement.
  
  

This is a residential role based near Kalgoorlie, offering the benefit of being home every night while working an 8:6 roster of 10 hour days.

About You

You are a practical, safety conscious individual with strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently in a mining or heavy industry environment. You thrive in hands on roles, enjoy problem solving, and value being part of a small, supportive team.

Key requirements include:

• Experience in dewatering systems, pumps, or heavy machinery (mining or civil environment).
• Statutory Supervisor Certificate under WA WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022, or commitment to obtain.
• Ability to tow and operate pump trailers and small machinery (loader, IT carrier, small excavator).
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to work unsupervised.
• Effective communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
