Leading Hand Electrical Maintenance
About the Role
With continued growth across our Mungari Operations, we are seeking an experienced Leading Hand Electrical Maintenance to join our Non‑Process Infrastructure team.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced mining electrician who loves being out in the field. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing non‑process electrical and communications infrastructure across surface, underground, open pit, and remote locations, while coordinating contractors and meeting statutory requirements.
This role is physical, and at times requires working at heights, as well as travelling to remote locations to keep critical infrastructure operating.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading day‑to‑day non‑process electrical maintenance activities on site
- Coordinating and overseeing contractors to ensure safe, efficient execution of work
- Carrying out isolations, inspections, audits, and corrective actions
- Fault‑finding and maintaining electrical and communications infrastructure
- Attending remote bush locations to maintain and repair communications hubs when required
- Supporting infrastructure projects and maintenance execution planning
- Ensuring full compliance with statutory, site, and safety requirements, including S26 coverage
This role offers real autonomy, variety, and responsibility, with your skills applied across a wide range of electrical and communications assets. No two days are the same, and you will be relied on as a trusted technical lead on site.
About You
You are a trade qualified mining Electrician who understands the realities of site work and is comfortable taking ownership in the field. You are practical, safety focused, and confident with routine maintenance and fault-finding activities.
You lead from the front, coordinating contractors, meeting statutory obligations, and getting hands‑on when required. You are comfortable making decisions, prioritising work, and responding to reactive breakdowns while maintaining safe work practices.
You will be a residential employee based in Kalgoorlie or willing to relocate from within Australia, working a 5:2:4:3 roster (10‑hour days).
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Western Australian Electrical Licence (essential)

- Strong hands‑on experience across non‑process electrical infrastructure
- The physical capability to safely carry out field‑based work, including working at heights
