About the role 

The primary purpose of this role is the day-to-day electrical maintenance of the processing plant. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the role safely performs work to ensure the reliability & availability of the plant equipment. The role will also support periodic plant shutdowns as determined by the maintenance program.

 

The Leading hand will also be required to supervise & assist other electrical team members and ensure at all times the team conducts work in a safe manner, with a high standard of workmanship.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance of equipment in accordance with current Evolution Mining procedures.
  • Provides technical knowledge and advice to team members, mentors apprentices, and monitors teams work standards.
  • Coordinate staff and contractors if required. 
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with statutory, regulatory and Evolution Mining standards.
  • Participate in the after-hours call out roster
  • Commit to maintaining health, safety and security standards and principles, both within own workplace and through identification of potential risks throughout Evolution.

About you 

  • Electrical Trade Certificate and Licence
  • HV qualification highly regarded
  • Experience in fixed plant maintenance in a mining environment
  • Experience working with Control system automation and Instrumentation 
  • Strong fault finding skills
  • Current EWP, Work at Heights & Forklift tickets will be well regarded.
  • Exposure to CMMS desirable (Pronto)
  • High Regard for quality of work and health and safety
  • Team Player
