The roster is a 8:6 (10 hour day shifts).

About the Role

This is a hands on trades role within the processing plant team. Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, you will play a vital part in ensuring the reliability and availability of fixed plant equipment through planned, preventative, and responsive maintenance.

Working within a supportive crew of trades and apprentices, you’ll complete scheduled maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and support periodic plant shutdowns. The roster is residential-friendly — 8 days on, 6 days off, 10-hour day shifts — allowing for a strong work life balance while still being part of a dynamic processing environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out daily and weekly scheduled maintenance on fixed plant equipment.
• Supporting breakdown response and flexible attention to new work requests.
• Maintaining accurate work records and communicating progress to supervisors.
• Participating in the after-hours call out roster.
• Ensuring safe work practices, maintaining clean and professional work areas, and upholding Evolution’s values and safety principles.

About You

You are a trade qualified Mechanical Fitter with proven experience in fixed plant maintenance, ideally within mining or heavy industry. You are safety conscious, adaptable, and motivated to deliver high quality work in a collaborative environment.

Key attributes you bring include:

• Trade Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting).
• Experience working with fixed plant maintenance in a mining or industrial environment.
• Confined space ticket (mandatory).
• Forklift and EWP tickets (desirable).
• CN Franna crane ticket (desirable).
• Strong focus on communication and teamwork, with the ability to liaise effectively across shifts.
• A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to prioritise both planned and unplanned work.
• Commitment to maintaining safety standards and contributing to a positive team culture.
