Superintendent Metallurgy

Who we are

We’re a bold team with a bright future; and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.

Evolution Mining is a premier global gold company operating six mines across Australia and Canada. We’re transforming mines and uplifting careers. We’ve extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves. We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We’re transforming our Red Lake Operations, restoring it as a premier Canadian gold mine. That kind of ambition creates careers, not just jobs.

When we asked our people what they enjoy most about working at Evolution, two things came up across every site: career growth and the quality of the people. Here, you’ll work alongside people who care, who push one another to be better, with leaders who are there to support you.

What’s the opportunity?

Our processing plant at Mungari has just undergone a major expansion, more than doubling capacity and introducing a new level of scale, complexity and opportunity. You’ll step into a role where your impact is immediate, playing a key part in how this upgraded plant performs day-to-day, and how it continues to evolve into the future.

This is your opportunity to lead from the front. You’ll take ownership of metallurgical performance on site, guiding a capable team while lifting standards, strengthening systems and delivering tangible improvements across recovery, throughput and reliability. As a Superintendent, you won’t just maintain performance, you’ll shape it, bringing a clear vision, building team capability and making a visible difference to both results and culture.

Based at our Mungari Operations and reporting to the Processing Manager, you’ll:

  • Lead plant performance by optimising throughput, recovery and overall circuit stability across an expanded processing facility
  • Lead, mentor and grow a strong accountable metallurgical team by setting clear expectations, developing capability and embedding consistent standards
  • Partner closely with operations and maintenance to troubleshoot issues, improve plant reliability and drive practical outcomes
  • Strengthen metallurgical systems, reporting and forecasting to support better decision-making and operational discipline
  • Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives that lift plant performance, efficiency and cost outcomes

Why Mungari Operations?

Mungari is a cornerstone asset in our portfolio, with a mine life to at least 2038. It’s operationally diverse, with opportunities to work on the surface or underground and a great team of people who care. Our recent expansion of the processing plant has more than doubled processing capacity from 2 million to 4.2 million tonnes per year. With open pit and processing all on one site, the operational diversity is ideal for uplifting careers.

What suits your lifestyle best? We offer residential roles and fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) rosters at Mungari. You choose. Live local in the world-class mining community and enjoy our competitive live-local incentives and allowances. Or choose FIFO and enjoy the camaraderie and benefits that village life offers.

The future here is bright; you could be part of it.
