Superintendent Resource Geologist

Who we are

We’re a bold team with a bright future; and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.

Evolution Mining is a premier global gold company operating six mines across Australia and Canada. We’re transforming mines and uplifting careers. We’ve extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves. We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We’re transforming our Red Lake Operations, restoring it as a premier Canadian gold mine. That kind of ambition creates careers, not just jobs.

When we asked our people what they enjoy most about working at Evolution, two things came up across every site: career growth and the quality of the people. Here, you’ll work alongside people who care, who push one another to be better, with leaders who are there to support you.

What’s the opportunity?

As Superintendent Resource Geology, you’ll lead the mineral resource function across Mungari, ensuring the geological information supporting investment, planning and mining decisions is robust, reliable and fit for the future.

Mungari continues to invest in resource growth and long-term mine development, with active resource definition programs, a growing resource inventory and multiple opportunities across the asset. You’ll play a key role in converting geological potential into long-term value.

Leading an experienced team of resource geologists, you’ll provide technical direction while enabling your team to own outcomes and perform at their best. You’ll set direction, build capability, encourage challenge and create an environment where people are engaged, accountable and supported to grow.

You’ll oversee resource estimation, geological modelling, database governance, QAQC and reporting, while working closely with site Geology and Technical Services teams and the Group function. Your expertise will help guide drilling investment, influence mine planning and ensure mineral resources meet the highest levels of technical scrutiny.

This role is suited to an established Resource Geologist, and a Competent Person or have a clear pathway towards a Competent Person under the JORC Code 2012, within a business committed to resource growth, technical excellence and developing its people.

The position is offered on either a residential 5:2:4:3 roster (10-hour days) or FIFO from Perth on a 4:3 / 4:3 / 8:6 roster.

Why Mungari Operations?

Mungari is a cornerstone asset in our portfolio, with a mine life to at least 2038. It’s operationally diverse, with opportunities to work on the surface or underground and a great team of people who care. Our recent expansion of the processing plant has more than doubled processing capacity from 2 million to 4.2 million tonnes per year. With open pit and processing all on one site, the operational diversity is ideal for uplifting careers.

What suits your lifestyle best? We offer residential roles and fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) rosters at Mungari. You choose. Live local in the world-class mining community and enjoy our competitive live-local incentives and allowances. Or choose FIFO and enjoy the camaraderie and benefits that village life offers.

The future here is bright; you could be part of it.

What we offer you

We support, develop and reward you to ensure you have a bright future. Here’s how we back that up:

  • Attractive FIFO from Perth 4:3/4:3/8:6 roster working 12-hour days, or a 5:2:4:3 10-hour day residential roster.
  • Short-Term Incentive (STI) and Long-Term Incentive (LTI) opportunities.
  • Relocation assistance for eligible candidates.
  • Employee share scheme with the opportunity to share in Evolution's success.

  • Study assistance and ongoing professional development.
  • Discounted health insurance.
  • Long-term career progression opportunities within a growing global mining company.

Does this sound like you?

You are a technically strong and commercially aware Resource Geologist who enjoys solving complex geological challenges and leading high-performing teams. You combine strong resource estimation capability with the ability to influence stakeholders, mentor others and drive technical excellence across a mining operation.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Geology or Geoscience and a commitment to maintaining professional standards.
  • Accreditation showing you are a Competent Person or have a clear pathway towards a Competent Person under the JORC Code 2012.
  • A collaborative leadership style with a genuine passion for coaching, mentoring and developing geologists.
  • Significant experience in resource geology, resource estimation and geological modelling within a mining environment.
  • A strong understanding of mineral resource governance, reporting standards in line with the JORC guideline 2012
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance, challenge assumptions and support decision-making across multidisciplinary teams.
  • A manual Australian Driver's Licence.

Most importantly, you're someone who enjoys building capability in others, takes pride in technical integrity and is energised by the opportunity to help shape the future of a growing operation. You thrive in environments where your expertise can genuinely influence outcomes, and you're motivated by the chance to leave a lasting legacy through both the resources you help define and the people you develop along the way.
