The position will ideally be based residentially in either Kalgoorlie or FIFO from Perth (relocation support within Australia will be provided) on a 8/6, 12-hour roster.

About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Advisor – Training, the Trainer Assessor plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of training and assessment services at our Mungari site. This site-based position is part of the Sustainability team and contributes directly to operational excellence through competency development and compliance assurance.
You’ll work closely with operational teams and business partners to ensure training systems are applied consistently and effectively across the mine. This is a dynamic role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about developing others.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting in-field training and assessments across various operational areas
- Maintaining and updating competencies, compliances, and procedures (CCPs)
- Supporting the implementation of the annual training plan and training needs analysis (TNA)
- Providing sound advice to supervisors and line managers on training matters
- Assisting in the development of training materials and governance of training systems
- Collaborating with business partners to ensure training initiatives align with operational goals

About you
You are an experienced and confident training professional with a passion for developing others and ensuring operational excellence through effective training delivery. You thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy working closely with operational teams, and are comfortable conducting assessments in the field.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116) – essential
- Experience in mining or heavy industry, particularly in training and assessment roles
- Competency in the equipment or areas you’ll be training on (e.g., truck, jumbo) – preferred
- Strong understanding of training systems, compliance, and current WHS legislation
- Proficiency in INX and Excel for managing training records and matrices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments
- A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently and engage confidently with business partners
