Underground Paste Crew
.
Who we are
We’re a bold team with a bright future; and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.
Evolution Mining is a premier global gold company operating six mines across Australia and Canada. We’re transforming mines and uplifting careers. We’ve extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves. We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We’re transforming our Red Lake Operations, restoring it as a premier Canadian gold mine. That kind of ambition creates careers, not just jobs.
When we asked our people what they enjoy most about working at Evolution, two things came up across every site: career growth and the quality of the people. Here, you’ll work alongside people who care, who push one another to be better, with leaders who are there to support you.
What’s the opportunity?
Join a critical part of Mungari's underground mining operation where your work directly supports safe production and ground stability. As an Underground Paste Crew Operator, you'll play an essential role in delivering reliable paste fill services that keep the mine operating efficiently. This is an opportunity for an experienced underground operator who enjoys working autonomously, taking ownership of their area, and being part of a high-performing team that values safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
Based at our Mungari Operations and reporting to the Paste Supervisor, you'll:
- Keep underground paste systems operating safely and efficiently by operating, monitoring and maintaining paste fill infrastructure and reticulation.
- Protect people and production by conducting pre- and post-paste inspections that ensure system integrity and safe outcomes.
- Minimise operational disruptions by managing consumables and identifying opportunities to reduce downtime.
- Support equipment reliability by troubleshooting issues, reporting defects and assisting with proactive maintenance activities.
- Set the standard for safety underground by identifying hazards, intervening when required and leading by example every shift.
This role operates on a 7:7 roster with 12-hour shifts, available on either a residential Kalgoorlie basis or FIFO from Perth.
Why Mungari Operations?
Mungari is a cornerstone asset in our portfolio, with a mine life to at least 2038. It’s operationally diverse, with opportunities to work on the surface or underground and a great team of people who care. Our recent expansion of the processing plant has more than doubled processing capacity from 2 million to 4.2 million tonnes per year. With open pit and processing all on one site, the operational diversity is ideal for uplifting careers.
What suits your lifestyle best? We offer drive-in, drive-out (DIDO) and fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) rosters at Mungari. You choose. Live local in the world-class mining community and enjoy our competitive live-local incentives and allowances. Or choose FIFO and enjoy the camaraderie and benefits that village life offers.
The future here is bright; you could be part of it.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Minimum 12 months' underground mining experience, ideally within paste operations, projects or related underground production environments.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence.
- Working at Heights certification.
